Disclosure

Disclosure should sit next to the judgement it could affect, not hide on a policy page.

Cliffinkent covers AI tools, workflows, agents, templates and opinions. Some pieces may involve free access, sponsorship, affiliate links, gifts, review units or relationships that could shape judgement. When that applies, it should be stated on the relevant piece.

Free access

If a company gives free access, a discount, credits, a trial, data, support or early access, the piece should say so. Free access can make a test possible, but it does not buy the verdict.

Sponsorship and affiliate links

Sponsored work should be labelled clearly. Affiliate links, if used, should be labelled where they appear. A sponsor can pay for the time and the slot. A sponsor cannot buy the conclusion. The sponsorship rates and terms are published in the open.

Gifts, review units and relationships

Gifts, review units, employment links, consulting relationships, friendships or any other relationship that could shape judgement should be disclosed where relevant. If a relationship makes a fair test difficult, that should be said before the piece asks for trust.

Verdicts

No verdict is bought by sponsorship, free access, a gift or a review unit. A test verdict needs hands-on use against a real task. If something broke, the break goes in. If a view is only an opinion, it should be labelled as opinion.

AI-assisted production

Cliffinkent uses AI in drafting, planning and repurposing. Cliff owns the final judgement.

Analytics and cookies

cliffinkent uses Google Analytics only after you accept analytics cookies. The purpose is to understand traffic and how people use the site: which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and broad patterns of use.

When analytics is on, Google may process information such as device and browser details, page URLs, referral sources, and approximate location derived from IP address. Analytics is optional. You can reject it, and you can change your choice later with Cookie settings in the site footer.

Google Analytics is not used here for advertising, remarketing or ad personalisation.

The site also uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. Those tools help measure site performance and anonymised usage on the hosting platform. They are separate from Google Analytics and are not controlled by the analytics cookie choice above.
