What it is for
This is a deliberately small test log. It is for one tool, one job, and one sitting. The point is to stop a first impression pretending to be a verdict.
It works for home admin, client work, research, lesson planning, budget wrangling, and the other unglamorous jobs where AI either helps or gets in the way.
Starter prompt
I am testing [tool] on [real job]. Ask me for any missing inputs, then produce the smallest useful first result. At the end, list what you were uncertain about and what I should check manually.
What is inside
- Name the job before opening the tool.
- Record the exact prompt, input, or file you used.
- Time the first usable result, not the first impressive result.
- Write down what broke while it is still annoying.
- List what evidence would change your view next week.
